New vacancy - Business Development Executive
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to join our Social for Good team in Brighton in Jan/Feb 2026. Read more about the role and how to apply here.
About the role
As part of our growth team, you’ll be at the forefront of connecting purpose-driven organisations with Social for Good’s services – including our flagship Accelerator programme. You’ll play a key role in driving new business across the agency – from generating leads and nurturing relationships, to contributing to pitches and proposals, helping win new client work across our services, and reporting on important sales metrics. The Accelerator will be an important focus area, but the role will include supporting wider business development as our services evolve.
We work a 4-day week - so we’re looking for someone who’s highly motivated, organised, and confident managing their own workload, time, and priorities. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, enjoys working towards targets, and wants to develop their sales career in a values-led agency.
Key focus
Generate high-quality leads for the Accelerator programme and Social for Good services through outreach and inbound follow-up
Leading sales meetings and converting leads to signups for the Accelerator programme
Support wider business development activity, including proposals, pitches, and client acquisition
Build trusted relationships with prospects by understanding their needs and communicating clearly
Track activity, maintain accurate CRM records, and provide insights to improve our approach
Reports to: Director
Responsibilities
Conduct outreach via email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate interest in the Accelerator programme
Respond to inbound enquiries and nurture prospects through the sales process
Research and identify target organisations that would benefit from our services
Book and prepare for sales calls, supporting Directors where needed
Confidently communicate the value of the Accelerator programme and Social for Good’s wider services
Support in the preparation and delivery of proposals, pitches, and presentations
Maintain up-to-date records of outreach activity, leads, and progress in the CRM
Manage sales processes across our services whilst Directors are on leave
Track and report on KPIs, providing insight on what’s working and where we can improve
Suggest creative approaches to reaching new audiences and improving conversion rates
Contribute to internal meetings and knowledge-sharing activities as required
General Contributions
Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and client value
Share learnings and best practices with the wider team
Follow internal processes and brand guidelines
Helping to streamline lead generation activities
Decision-making Authority
Manages day-to-day decisions on prioritisation of outreach and follow-up
Acts as a first point of contact for prospective Accelerator participants and makes initial qualification decisions
Responsible for maintaining accurate CRM and reporting
Makes recommendations and drafts input for proposals, pitches, and wider sales activity (with final sign-off by Directors)
Uses judgement to identify and escalate opportunities, risks, and challenges to Directors
Performance Measures
Achievement of outreach and conversion KPIs
Consistent pipeline growth for the Accelerator programme and wider services
Positive feedback from prospects and team members
High quality and accuracy of CRM data and reporting
Demonstrated contribution to growth through leads and sales closed
Active participation in team collaboration and internal development
Is this you?
You’re a motivated, people-focused professional who loves connecting with others and spotting opportunities.
You have exceptional communication skills, both in meetings and emails.
You’re confident listening to prospects, understanding their pain points and outlining appropriate solutions.
You excel at reaching out to new people, building relationships, and communicating value clearly.
Ideally, you’ve got some experience in sales, outreach, or client-facing roles (this could be in an agency, charity, or commercial setting) and you’re eager to build your skills in a supportive, purposeful environment.
We also welcome applications from recent graduates looking to begin their careers.
You’re comfortable using tools like email, LinkedIn, and CRM systems, and bonus points if you’ve used HubSpot or similar before.
You’re driven by results and excited about working towards targets, but you also care about doing things the right way - building trust and relationships rather than quick wins.
You’re proactive, organised, and thrive in a role where you can take ownership and make things happen.
