Social media management for nonprofits, NGOs, and charities
We live and breathe social media, so you don't have to
Running social media can feel like looking after a badly-behaved child.
It constantly demands attention, needs feeding every few hours and, if you leave it alone too long, it can cause all manner of problems.
On top of planning, building and executing a strategy that meets your objectives, social media management can suck up a lot of time and energy. If you operate across more than one platform with multiple audiences, it can quickly become overwhelming. It demands a constant stream of new ideas and a rush to stay ahead of platform changes.
When you're trying to deliver on your organisation's strategic objectives, the daily grind of social media management can feel like it's holding you back.
Rather than frustrating and overwhelming you, what difference would it make to hand over the execution or parts of content creation, curation, graphics and scheduling so you can focus on what matters: delivering impact and ROI. You feel more inspired when you finally stop firefighting and start focusing on the strategic goals you know can make a difference.
Because we work with charities, NGOs and purpose-driven organisations, we understand your social media activity needs to impact your goals.
And because we only do social media, we know it better than anyone else.
Let us take the day-to-day delivery of social off your shoulders and deliver the highest level of audience experience across all your platforms without all the hassle.
Managing your social media as a charity takes a lot of time, consistency, and creativity. And we know this can be difficult when your time is already spread thinly across the organisation.
That’s where we can help. At Social for Good, we offer a range of social media management services to help take the pressure off.
We’re experts at every platform, whether it’s Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, or any other. We tailor our approach to fit the platforms you’re on so you get the most out of each channel.
Our social media management services
Content strategy
While we normally create this as part of a wider strategy project, we’ll always develop a tailored content strategy if we’re managing your channels. A content strategy ensures every post has a purpose and engages with your audience.
Graphic design
We create eye-catching and on-brand graphics that make your cause stand out and look professional – and we will tweak them to suit each platform.
Community management
We’ll handle the proactive and reactive areas of community management, such as responding to comments and messages, starting conversations, and building a relationship with supporters.
Content creation
From writing social posts to creating inspiring graphics and videos, we’ll help create content that speaks the language your audience listens to.
Scheduling
We’ll take care of planning and scheduling so your content goes out consistently and at the right time to suit your audience’s scrolling habits.
Reporting
We regularly report on the progress of the social media strategy and provide clear insights into what’s working, what isn’t, and how social media is contributing to your charity’s mission.
Our process
We like to keep things structured but flexible, so you know exactly what to expect at every stage. Here’s how we work with you:
-
We start off by getting to know your brand inside and out. This means understanding your goals, audience, tone of voice, and current organic performance.
-
We create monthly or bi-weekly content calendars to give you a consistent, planned presence across each platform. Our content workflow looks like this:
1. Internal brainstorm
2. Content creation (copy, design, video, etc.)
3. Internal review and alignment with strategy
4. Client review via Sprout Social, Google Sheets, Google Docs, or your choice of software.
5. One round of consolidated feedback
6. Final approval and scheduling
Content is then published through Sprout Social or your own scheduling tool (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer), and we aim to work 2-4 weeks ahead to allow for planning, flexibility, and data-informed optimisation.
-
We help you to build and engage your community on the platforms that matter. This includes:
A custom engagement plan
Monitoring activity
Daily community engagement (likes, comments, DMs), or as agreed in scope
-
We keep collaboration easy, with smooth and proactive communication:
Main channel of your choice (usually email or Slack)
Bi-weekly, or monthly meetings to keep projects on track
Ad-hoc check-ins for quick approvals or content requests
Early flagging of issues, opportunities, and ideas
-
Every month, we share reports that highlight progress, insights, and opportunities. Reports include:
Performance against KPIs (where included in scope)
Content insights — what’s resonating and why
Community management reporting
Strategic recommendations and next steps
Our reports are delivered as PDFs with an optional screen-recorded walkthrough to make them easily digestible.

Case studies
Affinity Trust
Affinity Trust supports people with learning disabilities to live independent and fulfilling lives. Their social media goals included raising awareness of their work and purpose and recruiting more support workers.
Our team worked closely with them over 12 months to create social media strategies across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and X to improve content. The end result was an almost 200% growth in engagement, 42% in content views, an increase in followers, and double the amount of content published.
“I really feel like Social for Good cares about us, and most importantly, about the people we support. And that matters.”
